Description

This thin sheet-like sensor is placed in the bed under the bedding and monitors the user's vital signs including heart rate and breathing patterns in order to alert a family member/carer when the user has an epileptic seizure. The sensor eliminates the need for carers to make checks, promoting independence and dignity and reducing disturbance to the user’s sleep pattern. FEATURES: This product has a power cable which is 2.85m (9’4”) long and a sensor which is 73.5cm x 35.5cm x 0.7cm (29” x 14” x ¼”). NOTE: This product will only detect when a fit causes the bed to shake. If the seizures do not cause the bed to shake but do cause a wetting accident then an enuresis sensor might be more suitable. In a double bed the sensor should be positioned where the user sleeps (i.e. on one side or in the middle).
